Private PDF redaction
Redact a PDF without Adobe Acrobat
Black boxes are not enough. Use a redaction tool that removes sensitive content from the output PDF, runs in your browser, and does not upload the source document.
- Draw redaction boxes directly on the PDF page.
- Redacted page content is removed, not just covered visually.
- The redaction job runs locally in your browser.
Why covering text is not redaction
A black rectangle on top of text can look safe while the hidden text remains in the PDF underneath. Someone may be able to copy, search, extract, or reveal it later.
True redaction removes the sensitive content from the output. AntiUpload takes the cautious route for marked pages so the visible redaction is not just decoration.
Good fits for local redaction
Use it for bank statements, legal exhibits, FOIA-style releases, client records, invoices, contracts, support tickets, HR files, and screenshots saved as PDFs. These are exactly the documents you usually do not want to upload to a server-side editor.
Redaction checklist
Redact visible text, repeated headers, footers, barcodes, QR codes, page thumbnails, comments, and metadata when relevant. Then open the output in a separate PDF reader and search for the removed terms before sending it to anyone.
