Privacy Policy

Your Files Stay Private
PDFBolt processes all files entirely in your browser. No file is ever uploaded to any server operated by PDFBolt. Your documents — and their contents — never leave your device. When you close the browser tab, any processed data is discarded.
What We Collect
We collect two categories of data, both limited and non-identifying:
- Aggregate usage analytics — page views, which tool was used, browser and operating system category, and country-level location. This is collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track users across sites.
- Product telemetry — when a conversion runs, we log non-identifying metadata (tool slug, input file size in KB, page count, success or error class, duration). We never log the file itself, its name, or its contents. A random per-browser-session identifier is stored only in memory and is discarded when you close the tab.
If you voluntarily submit feedback via our feedback page, we store what you type there, along with your email (if you chose to provide one) and basic browser metadata. This is used only to respond to your feedback and improve the service.
Cookies and Third-Party Services
PDFBolt itself does not set tracking cookies. However, the following third-party services may set cookies or collect data when you visit:
- Google AdSense — we display ads to keep the service free. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
- Google Fonts — we load typography via fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log font requests per its privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — our hosting and analytics provider. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance purposes per its privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — our spam protection on the feedback form. Turnstile uses privacy-respecting signals instead of cookies.
You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not affect the functionality of PDFBolt's tools — they run locally regardless.
Advertising Disclosure
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting the settings linked above.
Data Security
Because all file processing happens in your browser, your files are never exposed to network-transit risks between your device and our servers. Data that is collected (analytics, feedback submissions) is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on Cloudflare infrastructure.
Children's Privacy
PDFBolt is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us via the feedback page and we will delete it.
Your Rights
If you are in the European Union (GDPR), the United Kingdom (UK GDPR), or California (CCPA), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Because we do not collect personally identifying information beyond what you voluntarily submit via the feedback form, this usually amounts to deleting a feedback record by email address. Submit such requests via the feedback page.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of PDFBolt after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
