Why 8MB is hard
8MB is a small budget for video. Short clips, screen recordings, and low-motion footage work best. Long or high-motion clips need lower resolution, lower bitrate, or trimming.
If the video is important and quality matters, consider a 25MB or 50MB target instead.
How to improve quality
Shorten the clip before compressing. Lowering duration keeps more bits available for each second of video, which usually looks better than compressing a long clip heavily.
Muting audio can also help when the sound is not needed, because the file no longer spends bytes on an audio track.
